I’m a community-minded Southern Tasmanian – Mum to two small children, Deputy Mayor of the Kingborough Council, and a former award-winning tourism operator with a law degree. I know what it’s like to stretch the family finances in small business, and to want action on big issues. I listen to and advocate for others, driven by a strong work ethic and the values of integrity, inclusion, transparency and accountability.

I am running because I don’t want Tasmania to overshoot our natural resources, or leave any vulnerable people behind. I am running to elevate the voices of Huon.

I support the REMOVAL OF SALMON FARMS FROM SHALLOW WATERS, in line with Recommendation 3 of the Fin Fish Inquiry, particularly in sheltered bays where poor water exchange amplifies environmental harm. I DO NOT SUPPORT ANY EXPANSION of salmon farming in Tasmania until operations are moved further offshore into deeper waters or transitioned to land-based, closed systems. I support a more TRANSPARENT EPA, with real-time public reporting and stronger accountability. I call on the Government to implement a COORDINATED ESTUARY HEALTH PROGRAM, which would provide confidence for the community, and protection for one of our most important natural assets.

I stand to remove barriers to AFFORDABLE HOUSING by bringing all levels of government together to work change the National Construction Code, the state planning rules to define Tiny Houses as a distinct housing type, ensuring compliance is easy.

I remain opposed to the STADIUM and I am deeply concerned about the compounding level of state debt. Therefore I stand for BUDGET SCRUTINY so that future decisions are honest transparent, and Tasmanian’s get good value for every dollar spent.

I stand for urgent ACTION ON CLIMATE, guided by the clear evidence from climate science that human activity is driving rising temperatures, sea-level rise, and more frequent extreme weather.

So far I have raised over $7,000 in donations from the community. I am also pleased to receive Climate 200’s endorsement. Climate 200 is a crowdfunding initiative comprising over 33,000 donors from across Australia that supports independents committed to climate action, integrity in politics and gender equity. The organisation aims to level the playing field against major parties by backing grassroots, community-driven campaigns.
